Community Needs Assessment

NEWS RELEASE

The first step to improving lives in Indian River County is understanding what our community needs. We want to hear from everyone in our community as all opinions are important. A community needs assessment is a great way to gather this information. We want to hear from you about how our community can be a better place for all.

This participatory survey will be conducted through 2019, with findings reported to the community in the spring of 2020 and we need your help! Complete the survey below and help us understand the needs of our neighbors so we as a community can respond.

Indian River Community Foundation, the United Way of Indian River County, the Florida Department of Health in Indian River County and the Children’s Services Advisory Committee have joined together to produce a comprehensive community needs assessment for Indian River County. Additional support for the project is being provided by Indian River County, the John’s Island Community Service League, John’s Island Foundation and Head, Heart and Hands of Indian River Club.

The purpose of this survey is to identify community strengths and assets in your community to better understand how to support local residents. You will be asked about the services available in your community and the quality of those services in 5 areas: services for children, economic opportunity, housing, health, and services for seniors. Your responses will be kept confidential. The survey should take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
