In conjunction with this national celebration McKee Botanical Garden is offering a special BOGO (buy one paid admission and get one free) from Tuesday, May 11 through Friday, May 14 (paid admission does not include current members). Come enjoy the many wonders of McKee…there is something for everyone.

McKee is known for its horticultural beauty where native plants and exotic botanicals combine with Old Florida charm. The Garden features 10,000 native and tropical plants, as well as one of the largest waterlily collections in the state of Florida. The warmer temperatures are beckoning the first blooms of McKee’s outstanding waterlily collection comprised of over 80 varieties and over 300 potted and 100 free-range plants, including night-blooming and day-blooming varieties.

McKee Botanical Garden is recognized as a Florida landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is also recognized by the Garden Conservancy as a project of national significance. The Garden has garnered a national reputation for excellence and is known for its award-winning exhibitions, annual special events, and educational workshops.

Since opening in January 2020, thousands of children have enjoyed exploring and discovering the new Children’s Garden.  Cool off in the Karst Splash Pad, read a book in the Blue Crab Reading Circle, live the life of a pirate aboard the Scorpion pirate ship, or flutter through the field of giant blue mushrooms in the Fairy Forest and Fairy House. This magical, one-of-a-kind place allows children and families to fall in love with nature while learning about its importance in our lives.

General admission rates: $15 Adults, $13 Seniors (65+)/Youth (13-17), and $10 Children (2 – 12). McKee members and children under 2 free.

Hours:  Tuesday – Saturday (10 am – 5 pm), Sunday (noon – 5 pm).  The last admission ticket is sold at 4:00 pm. The Children’s Garden closes at 4:30 p.m.
