City Council to consider FPL contract tonight

At its 6 p.m. meeting today, the Vero Beach City Council is expected to vote on whether to formally approve the sale of Vero Electric to Florida Power & Light. If approved, the agreement will then go before city voters March 12.
At its 6 p.m. meeting today, the Vero Beach City Council is expected to vote on whether to formally approve the sale of Vero Electric to Florida Power & Light. If approved, the agreement will then go before city voters March 12.  Supporters, as well as opponents of the sale, are expected to pack the Council chambers this evening.
