Sunrise Rotary’s Florida Craft Brew & Wingfest set for Saturday at Royal Palm Pointe

IV.022113.Florida Craft Brew & Wingfest

This Saturday, from 11 a.m to 4:30 p.m., the 60 members of the Vero Beach Sunrise Rotary Club plan to pour pour thousands of bottles at the 2nd annual Florida Craft Beer and Wingfest family event. Last year, over 3,000 locals and tourists attended the festival on Royal Palm Pointe. Overflow parking and bus service will be available off Indian River Boulevard in the Parc 24 garage.

Donations from beer distributors Southern Eagle, JJ Taylor and Brown, along with local breweries and Home-Brew Clubs, will bring the total choices to over 120 brews from 40+ separate breweries. In a twist on the typical “beer bracelet only” concept, the event will also allow patrons over age 21 to purchase glasses of selected Craft Brews OR an unlimited tasting bracelet.

Family friendly food and drinks will be available in addition to the popular WingFest. 20 local restraunts and entities will prepare private recipe chicken wings for the crowds, and celebrity taste testers will determine the 2013 Best of Vero Wings. Entertainment will include six scheduled bands appearing on two stages throughout the day, with afternoon headliners Old Barber Bridge and Crooked Creek.

One-hundred percent of the event proceeds will go to the youth, elderly and environmental projects of the Vero Beach Sunrise Rotary Club. Sponsors include Dyer Auto, Treasure Coast Dermatology, New Vision Eye Center, Michael Kessler and Jack FM
