In addition to showcasing some of the most unique cars and boats in the area, this weekend’s 3rd Annual Wheels and Keels Antique/Exotic Car and Boat Show will feature  “POSH,” a 52’ 1937 Mahogany Cruiser owned and restored by Todd Warner.  The classis commuter cruiser will be on exhibit at this celebration of exotic cars and boats to be held at the Moorings Yacht Club.

Cruises on “POSH” will be available to those who want to enjoy what event organizers describe as “a once-in-a-lifetime experience.” Cruises are available Friday at 4 p.m., Saturday at 10 a.m., and 3 p.m., and Sunday at 10 a.m.  Organizers say they will take POSH out for an additional cruise Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m., if the first four cruises are sold out.

Proceeds from Wheels and Keels will benefit the Youth Sailing Foundation of Indian River County, an all-volunteer organization dedicated to enabling children ages 7 to 15 to learn to sail. The program has allowed well more than one hundred children from all walks of life to learn and compete equally. Sailing takes kids outdoors – away from computers, cell phones and TV. Learning to sail builds self-esteem, confidence, decision-making, and the ability to communicate and interact with others.

The Youth Sailing Foundation is now three years old and has accumulated 30 Optimist sailboats. Sixty-one percent of the boats have been donated for use by children who cannot afford their own boat.

The morning mimosa and pastry cruises and the afternoon wine and hors d’oeuvres cruises on POSH will be be approximately 90 minutes and are $75 per person.   For more information see mycwheelsnkeels.com.
