Childcare Resources of Indian River was awarded a $7,000 grant from Grand Harbor Community Outreach.  The support will provide high quality early childhood education for Childcare Resources Education Center.

The quality early childhood education provided by Childcare Resources’ program enable at-risk children of economically disadvantaged families to be much more likely to have the skills they need when they go to kindergarten.  Dependable care enables parents to be responsible employees who are more likely to remain employed and to further their careers.  Affordable care enables these families to pay for other essentials (food, housing expenses, transportation, etc.) to best provide for their children.  Children succeed when the family is strong and involved in their education. Childcare Resources’ support, guidance and access to other needed services can make the difference between stability and crisis in a family’s life.

“Support from Grand Harbor Community Outreach will help ensure young children are cared for and educated by well-trained, caring teachers in a safe, stimulating environment.  We are so pleased to have the support from Grand Harbor Community Outreach,” said Executive Director Shannon McGuire Bowman.
