Get your 60’s tie-die, peace signs and Union Jack flags ready because Main Street Vero Beach is hosting a British Rock Invasion featuring locally renowned band St. John’s Wood at their Downtown Friday party along 14th Avenue on May 31st from 6 – 9 p.m.
The Invasion will feature an assortment of creative street merchants, food vendors, special entertainment during the band breaks, and more. “We really hope folks will get in the groove for this event and take a stroll down 14th Avenue’s “Penny Lane,”” declared Downtown Friday co-chairs Alan Dritenbas and Eric Hessler.
The most talked about band along the east coast of Florida, St. John’s Wood’s gifted musicians will transport attendees back to the 60’s on a “magical mystery tour” of their fondest memories. The American experience of the British Invasion, St. John’s Wood will get event goers “back to where you once belonged”.
Main Street Vero Beach (MSVB) is a non-profit association and a member of the Florida Main Street program and The National Trust Main Street Center. The national Main Street’s 4-point approach is on downtown organization, promotion, design, and economic restructuring and Main Street organizations have transformed the way communities think about the revitalization and management of their downtowns and neighborhood commercial districts.
