Letter: Honesty and professionalism appreciated

I am a retired judge from Kentucky.  My spouse and I recently moved to Sebastian, Florida.  We needed some new furniture for our home.  Since we could not locate a Furniture Store in Sebastian, we went to Vero Beach.  We first went to some chain stores but determined that the furniture appeared to be poorly constructed and probably manufactured overseas.  Then we found two (2) stores downtown known as “Vero Furniture Mart” (located at 1450 21st Street and 2004 14th Avenue).

We purchased a sofa from one of the stores and a table from the other.  We have never been treated so nicely and dealt with so honestly.  The furniture we purchased was excellent quality and we determined it would last for a long time.  Max and Marguerita Lawing explained the construction of the furniture and gave us brochures of the locations of the US manufacturers.  Further, the price of this quality furniture was considerably less than the furniture we viewed in other stores.  I want to publicly thank Mr. and Mrs. Lawing for being so honest and professional in their business.  Evidently, home-owned stores still provide better quality and pricing than chain stores.  It’s nice to deal with people who actually know about furniture rather than those who work for a commission selling items they know little about.
