Do all states have voting via absentee ballots? It’s also amazing how previous generations managed to get to polls with only one day designated for voting. And there were more one-car families back then, too. I know our county has seen some consolidation of polling places, due to budget cut requests from county government. Nothing wrong with that. If voting is important, a person should be willing to do whatever it takes to do it – after whining for a while….which we all tend to do. If only there were ways to actually get people to vote once they are registered. What a wonderful day that would be.

The voting process has been impacted by changing requirements imposed by the Florida legislature more than anything done at the county level. Florida is not unique in this situation.
