Vero Beach’s Finance Commission will meet today at 3 p.m. in the Council chambers in City Hall.  In addition to reviewing the quarterly variances for the current fiscal year, the Commission will receive an update on the status of negotiations in the proposed sale of Vero Electric to Florida Power & Light.

A key question facing the City Council going into budget workshops for the 2013/2014 fiscal year is whether it is realistic to expect the sale of the electric system to close before October 1, 2014.
