Cartoon: The Pawn

“My interest is getting people off the hook for the $2 million a month (in higher electric rates)and the $60,000 a month in legal fees…The people of Vero Beach are pawns. It is costing them money, and no other player in this is paying money, and I don’t think that is right,” said City Councilman Richard Winger during yesterday’s Council meeting.

  1. At least Mr. Winger acknowledges he is working for US – not FPL, not the County, not FMPA or OUC….but the people of Vero Beach. And, judging from comments at the July 16th VBCC meeting, Mr. Kramer is also aware of his “employers”–us. The other three Council members – not so much.

  2. When are the people of Vero Beach going to realize there are 3 people on the council working for their own political county careers and only two who are working for the city residents, their constituents.

  3. Make a change. We have the opportunity very soon. Stop letting PAC’s decide our future.
