Last night, I edited a comment I had earlier posted on a new Facebook page titled “Vero Beach Truth Squad.” The pages censor had taken exception to my suggestion that Charlie Wilson seems to be increasing disconnected from reality.
The amended post read, “Charlie Wilson was on the Dr. Soos program this week claiming some unnamed “they” created Vero Beach Truth Squad. Wasn’t it Wilson who went before the Taxpayer’s Association recently proposing the formation of a ‘Truth Squad’? Yes, it was. Then why would Wilson be reticent to admit his association with this effort?”
The anonymous censor at “Vero Beach Truth Squad” posted the following this morning:
Vero Beach Truth Squad – “Schumann, you have been warned more than enough times. You insult good people (Bob Soos for one, calling him Dr. Soos) and continue to bully by telling us how to run our page, even after repeated warnings. You are being blocked due to your ignoring these warnings.”
Am I the only one who wonders if the person or persons behind the “Vero Beach Truth Squad,” the nameless, faceless fact checker who launched a site just two days ago, took lessons from Vice Mayor Tracy Carroll on how to moderate a conversation/meeting?
Carroll: “Officer, would you please make sure he doesn’t get out of order.”
VBTS: “Any further rants will be deleted and you will be subject to being blocked.”
VBTS: “So, if you wish to be able to have input on this page, you need to clean up your act – this is HIGHLY unprofessional on your part.”
By the way, has anyone heard about a recent contentious meeting at the Taxpayers Association? Some members became angry because the board would not create a group similar to the Nixon White House Plumbers to stop the leaks. Word has it Mark Mucher even resigned.
Apparently Mucher and a few others were bent out of shape because Inside Vero had been notified of Charlie Wilson’s presentation to the group urging them to form, you’ve got it, a “Truth Squad.”
What they have formed now can probably more accurately be described as a “Counter-the-Truth Squad.”
Particularly since the so called “Truth Squad” is operating anonymously and almost surely with hidden agendas, look to Inside Vero to keep the so-called “Truth Squad” honest.

I just love it whenever the Tea Party Know Nothings are upset. They are constantly tripped up by reality!
Censorship alive and well in Vero Beach. A truth squard that cannot stand the truth. Warnings from anonymous persons . Stopping leaks , paranoia ,What the heck is happening to our city ?
Whatever it is, it appears that very little thought was put into putting the page together or stating any type of purpose for its existence. The pursuit of truth does not appear to be an objective. In my first (and final) visit to that page, the only thing that was clearly visible was a personal vendetta.
