Patricia Ann Christ, 85, of Vero Beach, Florida passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at her home. She was born November 26, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY and had been a resident of the Treasure Coast for 12 years. Prior to retirement in 1994, Mrs. Christ was the owner and director of Happy Acres School in Hauppauge, NY. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Anthony Christ; two sons, Scott and his wife Dawn and Thomas and his wife Anne, along with four grandchildren, Alison, Chelsea, Julia and Alec. A funeral service will be held 2pm, Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.  www.coxgiffordseawinds.com  (9/13/13)

Hickey

Joseph L. Hickey III, 57, of Vero Beach passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at his home. He was born May 13, 1956 in Detroit, MI. He had been a resident of Vero Beach for 35years, coming from Detroit. He was a partner of Hickey, Collins & Beach Chartered CPA Firm of Vero Beach since 2005. Joe received his Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in accounting from Michigan State University in September 1978 and joined the firm of Hamilton & Company, Chartered, in December 1978. He passed the certified public accounting exam in 1979 and has been a CPA since March 1980. Joe was a member of Saint Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach, and was very involved with their Harvest Festival. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was known for his “green thumb” and his passion for gardening. Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Robin Hickey; daughters, Melissa Hickey of Vero Beach, Erica (Gerrit) Klipstine of Vero Beach, Sabrina Torres of Melbourne; father, Joseph Lincoln Hickey Jr. of Harbor Springs, MI; sister, Susan H. (Greg) Campbell of Troy, MI; brother, Frederick (Irma) Hickey of Cancun, Mexico; one granddaughter, Taylor Klipstine and one grandson, Joseph Klipstine. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Lou Hickey. Services: A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Friday, September 13, 2013 at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10AM on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Saint Helen Catholic Church. MoiseIterné Moise, 83, of Sebastian, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Palm Garden of Vero Beach, FL. Mr. Moise was born October 22, 1929 in La Montagne, Haiti to Justin & Rosilienne Moise. He had been a resident of Sebastian since 2002, coming from West Orange, NJ. Prior to moving to the United States in 1970, he worked as a teacher in Haiti . Iterné was a hard worker, and held many occupations upon entering the Uni ted States. He ret ired as a Certified Nurses Assistant. Through his work ethic he inspired his four sons to become responsible citizens and high level professionals. He was a devoted husband, father, and Christian missionary. He served as a deacon at the First Haitian Baptist Church of Vero Beach. Iterné had a firm belief in God’s Grace and Love through his son, Jesus Christ. Survivors include his children, Dr. Bonard Moise, Jacques Moise, Herriot Moise, Francois Iterné Moise, Jr.; grandchildren, Asyah Moise, Jessica Moise, Christopher Moise, Ashlee Moise, Johanne Vanessa Moise, Elizabeth Gabrielle Moise, Jacques Philippe Moise, Gabriel Alexandre Moise ; sister, Julienne Moise; daughters- in- law, Dr . Olga Soto-Moise, Francisca Moise, Carolyn Moise; sister- in- law, Jeannette Dieudonne; countless nieces and nephews, friends, and his beloved brothers and sisters at the French Speaking Baptist Church on Clermont Avenue in Brooklyn, NY and the First Haitian Baptist Church of Vero Beach, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Clarisse Moise, née Jean. A visitation wil l be held from 6:00-9:00 p.m. on Friday, September 13, 2013 at the First Haitian Baptist Church at 4545 71st Street, Vero Beach, FL 32967 with a funeral service being held from 9:00-11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the same church.
