Maryellin (MEG) Kelleher of Vero Beach passed away on Friday September 13th at Emerald Nursing and Rehab in Port Saint Lucie. Born in Oneida, NY and brought up in Holyoke, MA later living in Palm Beach County for 34 years before moving to Vero Beach in 1986. Meg was administrative assistant to Chief Engineer of Design Engineering of RCA Computer Manufacturing plant in North Palm Beach. Meg was very active in several organizations while in Palm Beach County including the PTA of St. Francis, President of Singing Surf Chapter of The Sweet Adelines, sang with the Whisper Jets quartet as well as served as Secretary of American Legion Auxiliary. Upon coming to Vero in 1986, Meg was active in the mentoring host program of Dodgertown Elementary and Highland Elementary for 4 years. After her husband passed away, she joined the singles group of Vista Gardens as well as The Happy Stitchers. Meg was preceded in death by her husband Jack and is survived by her children Patrician Morgan, Robert R. Leahy, Jr. (Cindy);William B. Wynona Faye Luna, 43, died September 13, 2013 at her residence in Vero Beach. She was born in Vero Beach and was a lifelong resident. She was a receptionist at Pointe West in Vero Beach and was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Survivors include her husband Ismael Luna of Vero Beach, sons Joseph Drew Deck of Sebastian and Adam Ismael David Luna of Houston, Texas, daughter Chelsea Nichole Luna of Vero Beach, five grandchildren, brother William Edwin Deck of Henderson, Tennessee and mother Sylvia Maxine Owl Deck of Vero Beach She was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence James Deck and her father, Joseph Edwin Deck. Floyd Knowles, 83, of Vero Beach, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at the VNA Hospice House. Mr. Knowles was born March 5, 1930 in Riviera Beach, FL. He had been a resident of Vero Beach since 1976, coming from Fort Lauderdale. Floyd served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for the Bellsouth Telephone Company for 46 years, and retired as a Senior Director. He attended Trinity Episcopal Church in Vero Beach, and was an avid fisherman. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Sarah “Gen” Knowles; children, Susan Sluth of West Palm Beach, FL; Brenda Southworth of Tampa, FL; Jennifer Knowles of Delray Beach, FL; Steven Schrenk of Long Branch, NJ; son-in-law, Robert Sluth; nieces, Diane Neilson Harriett Fass, Debra Pumphrey and Maria Barone; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shirley Schrenk. Private family services will be held.
