Letter to the editor: Important issues lost in debate on partisanship

The question of partisanship is an essential one that requires a larger conversation and one that we should have as a community. However, while this philosophical issue is being debated, other important issues are getting lost in the fray. This is exactly what certain Candidates want and need to draw attention away from their record.

With less then seven weeks away from the election, in which one Candidate displays a lack of respect for our Constitution, our community, and the citizens who disagree with her, this conversation may not be serving its ultimate goal given the time-frame.

Vero is facing important choices November 5th and we must focus on electing Council members who will work to create lasting solutions for Vero Beach that benefit every citizen.

There is no greater asset in our community than the citizens of Vero Beach and together there is no problem too great we cannot solve. I encourage everyone to come to the table, voice their ideas, and help preserve Vero Beach as the fantastic City that it is, while working together to create a more prosperous future.

Sincerely,

Amelia Graves
