Historic Dodgertown will be the site of the Florida Premier Sports/USSSA-sanctioned Vero Beach Fall Slugfest youth baseball tournament this weekend, September 21-22. The Treasure Coast Sports Commission sponsored event will be directed by the Vero Beach Baseball Academy.

The tournament will include 18 teams from throughout the state of Florida, separated into 13U, 14U and 16U age divisions. All games will be played at Historic Dodgertown.

“This is the first tournament put on by Vero Beach Baseball Academy,” shared tournament director Chris Thomas. “We plan on doing a USSSA-sanctioned tournament every month from now on.”

Games begin at 8 a.m. Saturday. The event is open to the public, and admission is $5.00 per person, per day.
