Cartoon: Self-Inflicted Wounds

Character Assassination

Supporters of Tracy Carroll say those who take exception to the Vice Mayor’s effort to change the City’s long-standing restrictions on short term rentals, or her attempt to turn a popular dog park over to a private rowing club, or her highly-visible and controversial affront to local Humanists, or her frequent bouts of combativeness are merely attempting character assassination.  Others look at a long list of what the island tabloid termed Carroll’s self-made problems, and believe these issues are important to discuss as voters consider whether to retain Carroll  for a third term on the City Council.

  1. Reminder to Tracy Carroll, Humanist vote and so do dog owners. With regard to trying to give away the dog park ,she found herself up the lagoon without a paddle. Tracy Carroll does not possess the proper temperament to sit on our city council.

  2. Nor has she lived here long enough to understand what Richard Winger means when he says he wants to keep Vero Vero.

  3. People seem to have forgot her push to block public access to Indian River Drive, which her home is on, while operating a family golf cart on city streets. A golf cart that was left unattended .and used in a string of beachside robberies. She WAS able to have the city post a sign at the entrance of the street that implies no public access.
