She loved to tell stories about growing up on their small farm in rural Georgia. She graduated from high school in Soperton, GA in 1934. She married W. T. Hall in 1939 and left farm life behind. When her husband enlisted in the Army during World War II, she ably assumed family responsibilities for their young son and later for their daughter who was born while Willie was serving on the front lines in Italy. They moved to Wabasso in 1957 where they leased and operated Seamist Hotel & Beachside Grill for a year. In 1979 she retired from Dales Mfg. Co. after being there for 20 years. She was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church in Wabasso and in later years was a member of Sebastian Methodist Church. She was a member and past president of the Wabasso Women’s Club, where she held all various offices thru the years, as well as participated in county and state events winning many awards and first place ribbons for her talent in quilting and needlework. She also enjoyed working with ceramics and absolutely loved cooking for her family and making her famous biscuits. She traveled with family to several countries including China, Mexico, S. America, and Italy. Survivors include her daughter, Janice Hickman and her husband, Johnny, daughter-in-law, Katie; 4 grandchildren; Alan, Donnie, Becky, and Brian; 7 great-grandchildren; Clayton, Kara, Katie, Mikaela, Connor, Ryan, and Madison; 3 step grandchildren; Brett, Lestina, and Helena and six step-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Willie T. Hall, and her son, Robert Glenn Hall and his wife of 43 years, Beverly. She was an example to her children and grand- children of honesty, hard work, and love for family as in Proverb 31 and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
