CAUDILLArthur Lloyd Caudill, 63 went home with the Lord on September 17, 2013 after a brief illness. Arthur was born in Benham, Kentucky on August 31, 1950 to Lloyd and Bertha Caudill. The family moved to Vero Beach, in 1955 where Arthur lived until his death. He was employed at Piper Aircraft, Inc for the past 19 years. Prior to working for Piper, he was employed by Banana Supply Company. He is survived by his best friend, wife and companion of 48 years Debra Caudill of Vero Beach; two sons Arthur Lee Caudill (Grayce) of Castalian Springs, TN and Jamie Caudill (Starr) of Sebastian, FL; three grandchildren Garrett, Kelli, and Kaiya; two brothers John Caudill (Barbara) of Vero Beach, and Ralph Caudill (Mazie) of Louisville, KY; three sisters Della Proctor (James) of Charleston, SC, Joann Hendrix (Bob) of Carrolton, GA and Goldie Salvatore of Vero Beach. Last but not least his faithful friend Bobo. Arthur was an uncle, and friend to many nieces, nephews, and everyone who needed him. He was the family mechanic, and could fix anything. He was the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Family was very important to him, every holiday, family reunion, or get together was hosted by Arthur and Debra where everyone felt welcomed. His hobbies included fishing and smoking various foods to share with his many friends’ at Piper. Arthur is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Bertha Caudill. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to either: American Cancer Society , 3375 20th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960 or Twentieth Avenue Church of God, 775 20th Ave., Vero Beach, FL 32962. A Celebration of life Service will be held at Twentieth Avenue Church of God on Saturday, September 28th at 1:30 PM. A reception in honor of Arthur will follow immediately after the service. Essex, GloriaGloria A. Essex, 85, our most beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother; previously of Vero Beach and Miami Florida passed away to be with the Lord on September 25, 2013 in Winter Haven Florida.  She was born in Philadelphia PA on February 25, 1928. She is preceded in death by her loving husband the Reverend Dr. M. Leon Essex and her young daughter Gee Jay. She is survived by four children, Laura (Jeff) Cummings of Nineveh Indiana, Cindy (Joe) Neer of Granger Indiana, Leon (Kimberly) Essex of Winter Haven Florida, and George Essex of Vero Beach Florida. Also, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. And many, many dear friends who she loved and treasured.  Gloria’s greatest love was serving the Lord and she able to do that all of her life. She was very involved with all of the many churches that her husband was the pastor of in South Florida. Even during retirement she was the chaplain at the Florida Baptist retirement center of Vero Beach. She was a piano and organ player and a singer. As a child in Philadelphia, she sang on the radio at a local station and later used all of her wonderful skills in her church life. As the wife of a traveling salesman, she had many hats that she wore in running a family business, a church and a family. She was always busy and thrived on it.  Viewing and services will be at Lowther Funeral Home Vero Beach Florida on Friday September 27th. Viewing 4-7 pm, followed by a service at 7pm. Anna Jenny Joost, 107, of Vero Beach, Florida, died Saturday, September 14 at Florida Baptist Retirement Center.  She was born April 8, 1906 in New York City, New York and had been a resident of Vero Beach since June 17, 2004 coming from Forest Hills, NY.  Anna worked in the Actuaryal Division for Met Life.  She is survived by her son, Norman Joost of Vero Beach.  A memorial servive will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 11 AM at the First Presbyterian Church, 520, Royal Palm Blvd, Vero Beach with Rev. Dr. Timothy Womack, officiating. A commital of her ashes will be held on November 22, 2013 at 10AM at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Kew Gardens, NY. http://www.lowtherfuneralhome.com (9/27/13)

Betty June Olivo, 82, died September 24, 2013 at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach. She was born in Rhodes, Michigan and lived in Sebastian coming from Cass City, Michigan in 1985. She was a member of Fellsmere Community Bible Church, Fellsmere, FL. Survivors include daughter Joyce Bowen of St. Augustine, FL, son Michael James Locke of Kenner, Louisiana, grandchildren Elizabeth, Chelsea and Matthew and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands Lyle Locke and Anthony Olivo. Memorial contributions may be made to Fellsmere Community Bible Church, 12 North Hickory Street, Fellsmere, 32948. SERVICES: A Memorial Service will be held at Fellsmere Community Bible Church 11:00 AM on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013. Arrangements are by Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory, Sebastian.
