Letter to the Editor: Republican volunteers to Tracy Carroll: “Won’t you please join us sometime?”

“We are the active volunteers who are out there day in and day out working to promote the principles of the Republican Party.  Tracy Carroll:  You recently stated that you volunteer in local Republican activities. Unfortunately none of us have ever had the pleasure of your company as a volunteer.  Won’t you please join us sometime.”

I am the man who helps my wife put up the tent at Downtown Fridays, on behalf of the Republican Executive Committee (REC).

I am a volunteer who helped 25 other volunteers decorate a float for the 4th of July Parade, representing the Republicans of Indian River County.  And then I walked, waved and repeated over and over: “God Bess America!”  Have done that for at least five years that I can remember.

I am the person who rode in that beautiful float which featured a huge hand-made paper mache elephant.  I would have loved to walk, but these tired old legs begged for a ride.

I am the volunteer who sits at Republican Headquarters each week (for six years) and answers the phone and greets visitors as they come in to ask questions or to pick up a voter’s registration form.

We are the men and women who set up the REC tent at the recent Food Truck Frenzy events.

I am the man who made sure our club donated a wonderful item to the recent auction at the REC Barbeque.

I am the woman who manned an REC table at the Fire Fighters Fair event held at the Fairgrounds.

I am the person who arrived at 9 a.m. to decorate for the recent REC Barbeque, paid to attend the barbeque, bought an item in the auction, and stayed afterwards to help clean up.

I am the person who gathered all the items used in the auction at the Elegant Elephant Fashion Show.

I am the volunteer who greets the attendees who arrive at our wonderful Lincoln Day Dinners. It’s such a pleasure hosting wonderful people like Karl Rove and Ann Coulter.

I am the woman who schedules all the REC volunteers.

We are the active volunteers who are out there day in and day out working to promote the principles of the Republican Party.  Tracy Carroll:  You recently stated that you volunteer in local Republican activities. Unfortunately none of us have ever had the pleasure of your company as a volunteer.  Won’t you please join us sometime.

Sincerely,

Connie Webb, Volunteer Coordinator for the Republican Party of Indian River County, for all of the hard-working and devoted Republican volunteers of Indian River County.

  1. This speaks for itself….just wanted you to know it was read and understood. Thank you all.

  2. Tracy Carroll obviously has not learned the lesson of “by their deeds, thou shall they know them.”

  3. I believe Ms. Carroll just blew the first part of her own 4-way test and that is #1…Is it the Truth?. Duhh…she can’t even be truthful to her own party affiliation, another reason why all parties should vote her out of office. Vote on November 5th and NOT for Tracy Carroll.

  4. Maybe she has been spending all her time being an exemplary and active Rotarian. Which of the Rotary groups does she belong to. And isn’t her daughter on a full ride college scholarship from the Rotary International? I thought I heard that?

  5. She probably started the rumor about the Rotary scholarship. I don’t see how they would give a scholarship to a very expensive school overseas.
