Oct. 3 – City Council Candidate Roundtable –  Candidates for City Council will join together in a roundtable discussion to be held at the Heritage Center from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  The public is welcome, as candidates will field questions from the audience.

Oct. 3 – “An Evening with C.S. Lewis” – Acclaimed British actor David Payne presents “An Evening with C.S. Lewis,” 7 p.m. in the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center, a one-man portrayal of the author of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Tickets $25.  564-5537

Oct. 5 & 6 – Vero Beach Air Show at the City of Vero Beach Municipal Airport presented by the nonprofit Vero Beach Air Show, Inc. and three local Exchange Clubs, featuring aerial stunt pilots, military and civilian aircraft, vintage cars, all-day activities and aviation education. Gates open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with aerial acts from approximately Noon until 4 p.m.  473-7679

Oct. 5 & 6 – 26th annual Autumn in the Park, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat. and to 4 p.m. Sun. at Riverside Park, a crafts and artworks fair to benefit the Treasure Coast Pilot Club community service programs, with artist and food vendors and a children’s play area. 226-0765

Oct. 6 – Jeane Graves Charity Cupcake Challenge, 2 to 5 p.m. at Heritage Center, with Professional/Restaurant and Individual bakers competing, to benefit Michael J. Fox Foundation, and its search for a cure and therapies for Parkinson’s disease.  Bakers call 473-3410 for entry form.  Audience/voter tickets $10 at the door.
