Sunday, Oct. 6, is the reservation deadline for the Oct. 12 Vero Beach and Sebastian candidates’ forum and luncheon sponsored by the Democratic Women’s Club of Indian River County.
The event will be held at Historic Dodgertown, 3901 26th St., Vero Beach. Activities will begin at11:30 with registration and an opportunity to meet the candidates.
Following a buffet lunch, each candidate will give a brief talk. No questions will be taken from the audience at that time; however, attendees are welcome to speak with individual candidates after the program.
Nine candidates vying for non-partisan seats on the Vero Beach City Council and the Sebastian City Council have accepted invitations to attend the event.
The Vero Beach candidates are Warren Winchester, Amelia Graves and Brian Heady, as well as incumbents Vice Mayor Tracy Carroll and Councilman Richard Winger.
Candidates from Sebastian are Richard Gillmor and Damien Gilliams, along with Mayor Bob McPartian and Councilwomen Andrea Coy. Sebastian Vice Mayor Don Wright has a prior commitment with a youth charity event.
