Two campaign post cards, one paid for by the Tracy McClain Carroll for Vero Beach City Council Campaign, and another from Citizens for a Better Future group were mailed this week to city voters.
Citizens for a Better Future is headed by utility activist Glenn Heran and is largely funded by Florida Power & Light. As of its latest financial disclosure report, the Heran led group that is working for Carroll’s re-election had received 98 percent of its money from FPL.

What an amazing coincidence! Maybe they inadvertently used the same print company and received a discount for both, too.
Taking campaign cash from FP&L means Tracy Carroll is owned lock, stock and barrel by FP&L. Signing a pledge to support the sale to FP&L before it is finalized is just plain ignorant. Would you sign a contract before you see what is in the final version of that contract ? Well that’s what Mrs Carroll has done and it is another of her thoughtless mistakes. But, did she have a choice after she was given $5,000 by FP&L. Not a very bright idea
