Wayne L. Hillman, 75, died October 11, 2013 at Sebastian River Medical Center in Sebastian. He was born in Carneys Point, New Jersey and moved to Sebastian in 2008 from his birthplace. He was a graduate of Penns Grove High School Class of 1956. He was a US Navy veteran. He retired as Chief Janitor from the Pensville New Jersey School System. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Carneys Point, New Jersy. Survivors include wife of 17 1/2 years, Evelyn Epps Hillman of Sebastian; daughter, Tina Hillman Mills (Darrin) of Penns Grove, New Jersey; stepdaughter, Denise Cooksey Pankok (Mike) of Pennsvillie, New Jersey; stepson, Lynn C. Cooksey, Jr. of Barefoot Bay; grandsons, Darrin Mills, Derrick Mills and DaRon Mills all of Penns Grove, New Jersey; three Great-Grandchildren; five Sisters. He was preceded in death by five Brothers and two Sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 3375 20th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960 in memory of Wayne L. MaxsonRuth Maxson, 69, died October 13, 2013 at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach. She was born in Evansville, Indiana and moved to Hollywood, FL prior to relocating to Sebastian in 2005. She was a graduate of Rex Mundy High School, Evansville, Indiana. She retired from Hemispheres located in Hallandale, FL as a bookkeeper. She attended St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Sebastian. Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Gary Maxson Sr. of Sebastian; sons, Gary Maxson (Suzy) of Indialantic and Jason Maxson of Davie, FL; grandsons, Dorian, Curren and Brysten Maxson all of Indialantic; brother, Robert Schentrup of Hollywood; sisters, Donna Scheller of Evansville, Indiana, Suzanne Head of Ormond Beach and Martha Croysdale of Portland, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her sister, Rosemary Zeller. Dorothy A. Randolph, 90, of Vero Beach, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Palm Garden of Vero Beach.She was born on August 17, 1923 in Uniontown, PA and lived in Vero Beach for 33 years, coming from Miami, FL. Mrs. Randolph was a homemaker and a member of St. Helen Catholic Church. Survivors include her daughters, Carol Walterson of Vero Beach, FL and Jamie Lee Randolph of Vero Beach, FL; son, John Richard Randolph of Fayetteville, GA; sister, Mary Elizabeth Santilli; and three grandchildren. Shaw, 52, of Vero Beach, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2013 in his home. He was born on June 27, 1961 in Culver City, CA and lived in Vero Beach for 8 years, coming from Port St. Lucie, FL.  Mr. Shaw was a truck driver for Armellini Trucking in Palm City for 14 years. UnderwoodDr. Kenneth E. Underwood, 85, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013. He was born June 26, 1928 in Lansing, IL to Kenneth and Maude Underwood. He is survived by wife, Dorothy Hogan (Vero Beach, FL); daughters, Linda Underwood Schweigert (Door County, WI), Julie Underwood (Madison, WI), and Jody Underwood (Hagerstown, MD); grandchildren Benigno Kenneth Fernandez (Tuscon, AZ), Katherine Pogorelec (Fond du Lac, WI), Kaylin Underwood (Hagerstown, MD), and Margaret Underwood (Madison, WI); and great-granddaughter Hannah Pogorelec. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Doyle; sister Delilah, and wife, Shirley Bertram Underwood. He was graduate of Thornton Fractional High School (Lansing, IL); B.S. Northern Illinois University, DeKalb; M.S. Northern Illinois University, DeKalb; Ed. D. Indiana University, Bloomington. Ken was an educator, school administrator, university professor, and superintendent search consultant. He was superintendent for public schools in Illinois, Indiana, North Dakota and West Virginia. His second career as a university professor at Virginia Tech and search consultant with Harold Webb & Associates (now BWP) gave him the opportunity to mentor some of the best public school educators in the US. There was little he loved more than long phone conversations with school leaders about their careers, new jobs, how to do more and better for children, or problems they were facing. During his retirement he spent summers at White Earth, MN and winters in Vero Beach, FL. Ken loved bass fishing. Being on White Earth Lake as the sun rose with a rod and reel in his hand, was one of his favorite moments in life. He was an avid traveler. He loved maps and where they took him. He prided himself on visiting all seven continents during his lifetime. Von SteinRobert Lee Von Stein, 90, of Vero Beach, FL passed away October 12, 2013 at Grace Rehabilitation Center He was born June 9, 1923 in Hamilton, OH and had been a resident of Vero Beach for 26 years. Robert was a veteran of the United States Army, having served proudly in WWII in the 38th Infantry Division. He worked as a union electrician for local union #648 I.B.E.W.in Hamilton, Ohio. Prior to retirement he worked for Dickerson Electric in Pompano Beach, FL. He was an avid orchid grower and belonged to several orchid societies including the Fort Pierce Orchid Society and the Vero Beach Orchid Society. He was also a member of the Fort Pierce Elks Lodge, the VFW and the Moose Lodge. He was an active member of the Vero Christian Church. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ruth Von Stein; brother, William Von Stein; wife Mary Catherine Von Stein, and daughter Carla Lynn Von Stein. He is survived by his sister, Jackie Brown of Hamilton, OH; daughters, Kimberly Ann Ralston (Mike) of Colbran, CO and Judith Kathryn Oda (Wayne Stroud) of Fairfield, OH; sons, Douglas Lee Von Stein (Lynda) of Apache  Junction, AZ, Richard Carl Von Stein(Lois) of Hamilton, OH, Mark Andrew Von Stein(Mataia) of Hamilton, OH, Robert Wayne Von Stein(Donna) of North Lauderdale, FL and Neal James Von Stein(Suzanne) of St. Augustine, FL; devoted fiancé, Elsie Warren of Vero Beach; 19 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. A gathering of family and friends will be held  11 a.m. to 1pm, Friday, Oct. 18, 2013 with a memorial service to follow at 1pm at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.
