Senior Resource Association’s Vero Beach adult day care opens at new location

SRAThe Senior Resource Association (SRA) hosted its relocation and official opening of the Vero Beach Adult Day Care Center to the Schumann Center on the 14th Street campus from its former 1950’s retrofitted house.

A ribbon cutting ceremony included community partners, board members, staff, clients and their caregivers to celebrate the new location.

Guests enjoyed cake and the clients danced the afternoon away with Hobo Jim, a weekly performer for the Adult Day Care program in Vero Beach and Sebastian.

“We are happy to be hosting our Adult Day Program in Vero at its new location,” said Karen Deigl, SRA President and CEO. “We had a vision of holding the program in this building and our vision has now come true. We are looking forward to expanding and hosting more clients to continue serving the needs of those in our community.”

SRA is the only licensed provider of Adult Day Care in Indian River County with both Vero Beach and Sebastian locations. The program provides social, therapeutic and health services for functionally impaired adults age 18 and older who need supervised care in a safe place during the day. The clients enjoy proper nutrition, medication administration, early detection of health problems and increase self-esteem through activities to function as independently as possible.

Continuous modifications will be taking place and donations are needed to continue to meet all of the needs of the program and the clients. To make a donation, please call 772-469-2060.
