Before the island weekly’s readers give serious consideration to the newspaper’s “news analysis,” and its relentless criticism of the City, they might do well to find out what the editors have been drinking.
What people are loosing sight of is that Amy Brunges actually is employed by FPL and is doing a fine job, for FPL, not for Vero Beach. Why is this wrong, She lives in Jupiter and works for FPL,and as far as can tell, she is a very effective part of their operation. Don’t Vilify her. The fact that she is married to the Publisher of the Press-Journal certainly was an influence on FPL’s assigning her this project, but she didn’t get where she is with the company without some successes along the way. She would not have spoken at those meetings without an invitation.
And she was assigned to set up the Kool Aid stand.
If at least a part of your job is to mislead the public, and you excel in your assignment, then what does that say?
The meeting was not supposed to be a pep rally for the sale of Vero Electric to FP&L.
Isn’t it part of nearly everyones job.
