Charlie Wilson claimed on Bob Soos’ program last week that he has been THE leader of the effort to sell Vero Electric. The “Professor of Political Baloney’s” comment was reminiscent of Al Gore’s claim to have “invented” the Internet. The professor of propaganda was back on the airwaves this morning criticizing Mark Schumann for a political contribution made well before he began publishing Inside Vero. Wilson would not know about putting his money where it mouth is. The “professor” is far more likely to put his foot where his mouth is.

The self proclaimed baloney thrower has always had an exaggerated image of himself. Others see him for what he really is and its not too prettya picture.
Comparing the statements of Vice President Gore and Charlie Wilson is not a good analogy.
First, Vice President Gore never actually said that he “invented the Internet.” What he said was that he initiated its development. This is true becaue the Internet had its genesis as a research and development project of the Department of Defense that would not have become a reality if it were not for the continued support of Vice President Gore. Bill Gates in his book “The Road Ahead” gives Vice President Gore the credit that he deserves.
Second, Charlie Wilson played no role in the sale of the City of Vero Beach utilities because his brief tenure as an elected official was terminated once his deceit about his residency was obvious.
Leader” and Charlie Wilson are not two words that should be used in the same sentence.
