Clark,ThomasThomas Porter Clark, 78, of Vero Beach, FL, died Friday, October 11, 2013 at his residence. He was born August 3, 1935 in Gary, Indiana and moved to Vero Beach in 1970, coming from Winter Haven, FL. He was a reservist in the US Army. Mr. Clark was a 1958 graduate of the University of Florida. He was elected president of their Sigma Nu Fraternity and was also a member of the 1956 SEC Championship Baseball Team. He had worked in the citrus industry, first as a field representative for the Florida Citrus Commission, as a salesman for Deerfield Grove Company, Wabasso, D-N-E Sales of Ft. Pierce and finally Indian River Packing Company, Vero Beach. Clark was a life member of the Winter Haven Lodge #1672 of the BPOE, where he served as Exalted Ruler in 1967-1968. Tom is survived by 3 loving daughters; Jennifer of Gainesville, FL; Amanda of Los Angeles, CA and Linda of Vero Beach and 2 grandchildren, Sara and Jarod Huff, also of Vero Beach. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m., Sunday, October 27, 2013 with a service to follow at 3 p.m., at the Thomas S. Joanne Day Grymes, 82 of Vero Beach Fl died peacefully at her home on October 21. Joanne (Jo) was married to the late Arthur Johnson Grymes III for 53 years until his death in 2005. She leaves  her two daughters Day Keel  and Randall Fivecoat and her two sons, Arthur Grymes IV and Peter Grymes and seven grandchildren; Caroline Grymes, Arthur Grymes V, Harrison Grymes, Attison Keel, Walker Keel, Thayer Keel and Mason Keel and four step grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sister Thyrza Zabriskie of Bozeman Montana and her husband The Reverend George Zabriskie. Her other sister , the late Linda Day Ogle passed in 1999. Born in Short Hills NJ, she was the granddaughter of the renowned real estate auctioneer, the late Joseph P Day. She was the daughter of the late Bernard Pope Day and Lucinda Day of Short Hills. She grew up in Short Hills NJ and went to the Miss Beard School and graduated from Centenary College. She wed Arthur J Grymes of East Orange in 1952 and first lived in Essex Fells NJ. Then they moved to Bedminster NJ, where she was an avid horse woman who hunted with the Essex Fox Hounds for many years. She also loved her golf, skiing and paddle tennis. She moved to Vero Beach Fl in 1986 and built a home on Johns Island Florida and lived there until 1993 when they moved to Riomar, in Vero Beach. She was a member of The Somerset Hills Country Club, The John’s Island Club, Bent Pine Golf Club and finally settled at the Riomar Country Club where she played golf well into her 70’s. After her husband’s death in 2005, she moved from her home in Riomar across the inland waterway to Regency Park.  She suffered a stroke in 2007, but very happily remained at Regency until her death. She was a member of the US Senior Women’s Golf Association and it was golf that was her true passion in her later years. She was however truly devoted to the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County where she was co chairwomen for seventeen years and became an honorary member of the board. She spent endless hours running and helping raise money through their Cause for Paws program. Over her last several years, she raised five dachshunds from the Humane Society and leaves behind her beloved Yorkshire terrier, Lacy. She wanted to thank her many, many close friends at Regency Park for making her home there so special. She would also like to recognize the wonderful staff of Regency Park for their outstanding service and constant patience and kindness. She especially would like to recognize Dianna Hmielewski, her true friend and main caregiver for her endless kindness and care giving. A Celebration of Jo’s life will be held at the Community Church in Vero Beach on Monday October 28th at 10:00 am. NesbittSusan Nesbitt, 69, passed away peacefully in her Vero Beach home on October 20, 2013 after fighting a long battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her husband of 47 years, family and friends who supported her in the fight while being inspired every day by her courage and faith.  Susan was born to Harry and Mary Stolar of Albany, NY on May 27, 1944. She graduated from Shaker High School in Latham, NY, Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA and earned her Master’s Degree in Education from SUNY Oneonta. She taught English for two years and then worked full-time raising her three children. She served the St. Mary’s Catholic Church Community as the Director of Religious Education for 20 years and as the Lay Chaplain for Hartwick College and SUNY Oneonta for 13 years. She dedicated her life’s work to enriching the lives of youth in God’s teachings and love. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing mahjong and bridge with her friends in New York and Florida. Susan will be forever remembered by her husband and best friend, Ben, their three children, Stephen, Jennifer and Kristin, four grandchildren Shea, Kelly, Ben and Emma and so many loving relatives and friends. A celebration of Susan’s life will be held at 10AM on Thursday, October 24th, at The Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach, Florida. There will be calling hours in Oneonta, New York on Monday, October 28th from 6-8PM at The Lester Grummons Funeral Home and a celebratory mass the next day at St. Mary’s Church on Tuesday, October 29th at 10:15AM. Rogers, Deborah SueDeborah Sue Rogers, 58, went home to her Heavenly Father and joined her loved ones on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 after a long battle with Scleroderma. Debbie was born January, 29, 1955 in Augusta, Ky. Her family later moved to Louisville, Ky where she graduated from Pleasure Ridge Park High School in 1972. She married her high school sweetheart, Lennie Rogers, in 1975 and their family later moved to Palm Bay, Florida, where she worked for The City of Palm Bay for the Fire and Police Department for over 27 years. Debbie had a wonderful zest for life and her passions included kayaking, biking, painting and crafting. Debbie will be missed for many things, especially her strength, spirit and love for her family. She is survived by, her husband of 38 years, Lennie Rogers of Grant; daughters, Tiffany Youtzy and Tori Micheletti; son-in-laws, Kasey Youtzy and Patrick Micheletti ; grandchildren, Kolby, Kash, Stella and Olivia, all of Florida; her mother, Loretta Sellers and sisters, Marilyn Arbazia and Vicki Burden, of Louisville, Kentucky. A celebration of life will be held at Calvary Chapel of Melbourne, 2955 Minton Road, West Melbourne, Florida 32904, on Saturday, October 26th at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation, http://www.scleroderma.org or at (800) 722-4673. http://www.lowtherfuneralhome.com/ (10/23/13)

Timothy Patrick Rooney, 59, fought the good fight against cancer until October 14, 2013. He was born in New York City, NY and resided in Vero Beach for the past 8 years. A 1972 graduate of Cold Spring Harbor H.S., he resided in Huntington, NY until 1987. He was intelligent, creative, had a wonderful sense of humor, patriotic, and caring. He frequently wrote passionate letters to the editor of his local Florida newspaper on the most important issues of the day. Timothy was a carpenter for over 25 years and recently owned and operated “At Your Service” in Vero Beach. He was a member of the NRA, a Yankees fan and a lifelong conservationist. All that knew Tim loved him. Fiance of, Joelle Brajon, perfect son of Alice Rooney, dear brother to Hilarie (Jim Bohrer), and Alison (Daniel Wolfe), cherished brother of Thomas (Susan), and Terence (Tove). Loving uncle to Tyler, Tommie, Rose, and Tobby. He is also survived by his dear aunts Virginia Anselmini and Eleanor Anselmini, many cousins and friends. He is in heaven smiling on us all. A visitation will be held 4-7pm Friday, October 18, 2013 and 12- 1pm on Saturday, October 19, 2013 with a chapel service at 1:00pm at Aycock Funeral Home, Stuart, FL. Wade, RichardRichard Scott Wade, 46, of Vero Beach, Florida passed away October 18, 2013 at his home.  Richard was born in Columbia, Tennessee on December 7, 1966 to William and Dorothy Wade. Richard was an attorney who practiced law in Vero Beach for a number of years. He is survived by his loving wife, Allison of Vero Beach as well as a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. Memorial contributions may be made in Richard’s name to The St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. Walters, BillWilliam Walters, 54, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2013, at the VNA Hospice House. Bill was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA. He started his music career, playing “classical” accordion, at the age of 8, appearing on the Ed Sullivan show several times. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and traveled with the Navy band. After his discharge from the Navy, he continued to travel around the U.S. playing with various groups. Bill settled in South Florida in 1963 and became a popular entertainer locally. He and his wife moved to Vero Beach 4 years ago to be closer to their daughter and son-in-law. Bill is preceded in death by his daughter, Dawn E. Walters, and is survived by his wife of 38 years, Kathleen; son, William Christopher Walters; daughter, Alexis A. Moyer; step-son, Thomas Machado, and granddaughters, Christina Walters, Marrissa Walters, Allyson Walters, and Abigail Walters. A memorial service will be held at Calvary Chapel in Ft.
