This evening’s football game between Vero Beach High School and Palm Beach Gardens has been designated a “Military Appreciation Game.” Vero Beach High School will honor all branches of the service throughout the game. The special guest tonight will be Major Jon Teske, U.S. Army Reserve, who is the Principal of Citrus Elementary School.
A different branch of the military will be honored during each quarter of the football game: 1st quarter – United States Marines; 2nd quarter – United States Army; 3rd quarter – United States Navy; and 4th quarter – United States Air Force.
At half-time, there will be a fly-over by AFJROTC Cadet Jake Sonzogni.
If you are a veteran and will attend tonight’s game, cards will be available at the entrance gate for you to fill out with your name, rank, and branch of the military. This information will be read out over the PA system throughout the game.
