Interview with Vero Beach City Council Candidate Amelia Graves

Inside Vero editor and publisher Mark Schumann interviewed Vero Beach City Council Candidate Amelia Graves today. The interview focused on what Graves hopes to accomplish and contribute, if she is elected.  In a separate interview to be aired Monday during Inside Vero’s weekly one hour radio program, Graves, Schumann and Inside Vero associate editor Milt Thomas discussed Graves’ volunteer and work experience and her  credentials for a seat on the City Council. That radio interview will be aired Monday at 3 on AM 1370 and FM 107.9, and will be posted to InsideVero.com Monday evening.

  1. Logistically Carroll can’t vote on matters concerning FP&L if ever re-elected to the Vero Beach City Council This is because of the campaign funds she received directly or indirectly from FP&L. Check that out I believe it to be true. But why doesn’t that surprise me, her track record is very un-becoming a public figure.
I would not count Amelia out, what I see from 32963 is really a compliment, after all wouldn’t you trust a mature young woman who has been an excellent role model for so many and has accomplished so many important challenges! Good luck Vero, I think that now you have enough great candidates to pull the city out of the electric business and putting out the fire!

  2. In the ideal world, Larry’s comment would be correct. However, in politics if those elected failed to vote on issues of interest to those who contributed to their campaign, they would vote on nothing.
Quid pro quo has been a part of politics since the Roman empire!

  3. but it will be the ruin of this nation. in essence. if we the people don’t “pay” the politicians then why vote? you don’t mean anything to them. what if cops and the army worked like that?
