Challenging Tracy Carroll’s record, former Vero Beach City Councilwoman, Lynne Larkin, prepared and mailed a post card to likely voters this week. Larkin titled her mailing a “VERO BEACH VOTER ALERT!”
“It is time to bring civility back to the City Council. For the past three years, Tracy Carroll has treated Council members and the public with disdain, violated ordinances to benefit herself and the whole time has been cutting essential city services. Looking out for her own interest, Carroll fought the long-standing City Ordinance that prevents renting to transients because it would cut into her rental property business. This is after Carroll received multiple warnings and citations from City Code Enforcement for renting her property to transients,” Larkin wrote.
Though Carroll is supported by an electioneering communications organization flush with $24,000 in FPL money, Larkin and other are countering with their own efforts.
Editors Note: Inside Vero earlier reproduced a post card mailed by Citizens for a Better Future for Tracy Carroll’s benefit. In fairness, we are presenting in full the mailer former City Councilwoman Lynne Larkin recently sent to likely voters in the city.

Obviously Lynn Larkin is someone who loves the City of Vero Beach.
We , the citizens of Vero, must send a loud and clear message on Nov.5th that we do not want transient rentals in our residential neighborhoods. If the Carroll’s get their way ,Vero will be changed for the worse ,forever. What we do want are stable neighborhoods and stable taxes. We also want is to be treated like human beings when addressing the council. We have not gotten this from Mrs Carroll, if fact, concerned citizens have been ridiculed and treated with distain. I still cannot forget the way Phil K.was treated when asked to receive a proclamation on behalf of a religious organization. A shameful display by a public official.
Thank you, Ms. Lavins, I sure do. And I know you do, as well.
