One final push for votes

Holding Signs 1

Holding Signs 2With the City of Vero Beach municipal election just four days away, incumbent Richard Winger, an odds-on favorite to win one of two seats to be filled, is not taking any chances.  While Winger worked the crowd along Ocean Drive this morning, supporters held signs for him at the base of the Alma Lee Loy Bridge.

In an interview with Inside Vero this week, (Link to Interview) Winger said he has walked neighborhoods throughout the city and has spoken with more than 800 residents.  Most voters, Winger said, believe the electric system will be sold.  He said voters told him they want the City Council to focusing on maintaining the city’s amenities and services and cooperating with other government agencies, such as the Indian River County Commission and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, to save the Indian River Lagoon.
