United Way Campaign Kick-off at Sebastian Clambake

“United Way, Changing Lives in Sebastian. That’s the message Gerry Thistle and Chad Morrison want to convey by holding the annual Campaign Kickoff event in the middle of the Sebastian Clambake Lagoon Festival. Thistle and Morrison are Campaign Co-Chairs for the community-wide fundraising campaign.

“United Way donors and volunteers raise millions to advance the common good in Indian River County,” explained Thistle, “there may be more opportunities to hold events in the Vero area, but we serve all of this county and we want people in Sebastian to know that we are here for them.”

“My business is located in the north county, I see first hand the need that is here, whether it be for after school programs, subsidized childcare, or basic food and housing, people here need the services United Way can provide,” added Morrison. “We know this campaign will produce results and that will mean and more and better services for people in need.”

Come to the stage at 1 PM on Saturday Nov. 9th for entertainment and inspiration as the Campaign kicks off. Come early and stay late to enjoy the Clambake Festival. Bring your lawnchairs, your family, and your appetites.
