Benefactor underwrites Emerson Center’s “Dreamers & Schemers” performance, assuring free tickets for all
An anonymous benefactor has stepped up and “bought the house” for The Emerson Center’s November 21 performance of “Dreamers & Schemers,” hoping to make it possible for everyone to attend this informative and entertaining event.
“Dreamers & Schemers” is a dramatic presentation that introduces the audience to three of Florida’s most notable characters — Henry Flagler, Napoleon Bonaparte Broward, and Marjory Stoneman Douglas. For this performance, distinguished actors appear onstage in full costume and speak “in the voice” of the historical figures they are portraying. The performers reveal each character’s visions for Florida’s future and their opinions about who should control its bountiful resources.
