Armed robbery of a convenience store

The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that occurred last night, November 26, 2013,  at La Guadalupana convenience store, located at 4690 US Highway 1.

The store clerk reported that at approximately 7:30 p.m., two white male subjects entered the store wearing hooded sweatshirts and brandishing weapons. One male was armed with a semi-automatic pistol while the other carried a crowbar. Both suspects covered their face with a mask or bandana.

The suspects took money from the store registers then bound the clerk with plastic cable ties before fleeing the scene. The clerk was able to free himself and called 911. As of the time of this media release, the means and direction of travel taken by the suspects remains undeR investigation.
