PRESS RELEASE
As in years past, this year’s Christmas Parade, sponsored by the Oceanside Business Association, will go from Flamevine to Live Oak on Ocean Drive. The OBA announced today that the parade route has been expanded due to the size of last year’s crowds and the number of participants lined up for this year’s event. People can enjoy the parade from along Ocean Drive as well as the Boardwalk at Jaycee Park, South of Live Oak.
To help with traffic flow & transportation, the OBA will be providing free shuttles from Memorial Island in Riverside Park to the intersection of Cardinal Drive and Beachland Blvd. The shuttles will run from 3:30 to the start of the parade, which begins at 5:30. After the parade, starting at 6:45, the shuttles will also bring spectators from Cardinal & Beachland back to Memorial Island.
A shuttle will also be provided from the Bethel Creek House to Memorial Island for parade participants & walkers at the end of the parade route, starting at 5:45.
