Ida Fiondella, 94, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away December 3, 2013 at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center.She was born February 20, 1919 in Lawrence, MA and had been a resident of Vero Beach for 35 years, coming from Bristol, CT.Mrs. Fiondella was the first police crossing guard for St. Anthony’s Grammar School in Bristol and later worked as the Woolworths luncheonette manager in Bristol and Vero Beach. Following the passing of her husband, Michael Fiondella, Sr. in 1995, she became active around the community. She volunteered at the Indian River County Library, Beachland Elementary School Lunch Program and Riverside Theatre. In 1998, Mrs. Fiondella was awarded Volunteer of the Year for her efforts at Beachland Elementary School. In addition to her volunteer workshe took great pride in cooking for her family and friends. It seemed that Mrs. Fiondella was always taking care of someone whether it be her landlady, landlord, mother, father, sister or husband. She never complained and seemed to enjoy helping others. Being a strong willed person when she made up her mind there was no changing it. She was an avid sports fan. Baseball, football or basketball, she was always cheering for her Massachusetts teams.Mrs. Fiondella is survived by her sons, Edward (Susan) Fiondella of Vero Beach and Michael (DoeAnn) Fiondella of Meriden, CT; brother, Raymond Lorenzetti of Bristol, CT; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am, Friday, December 6, 2013 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach with interment to follow at Crestlawn Cemetery. HorskinRJ Horskin, 76, of Vero Beach, FL passed away November 29, 2013 at Indian River Medical Center. He was born September 30, 1937 in Oakfield, GA and had been a resident of Vero Beach since 1954. RJ was the owner of Horskin Lawn care. He was a former member of Mount Sinai Baptist Church, Gifford. He was well known in the community for his beautiful voice and often volunteered many days of his life to sing at many home going services for friends, family and neighbors. RJ is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lorine Horskin; sons, Jerry Dean Horskin of Melbourne, FL, Robert James Horskin of Melbourne, FL, Darrell Rivers Horskin of Vero Beach and Zackery Horskin of Vero Beach; daughters, Rosemary Allison of Palm Beach, FL, Queenie Sweet of Vero Beach and Laura Horskin of Oakfield, GA; brother, George Gervin of Orlando, FL, along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many loving cousins and friends. LiebmanDr. Jerome (Jerry) Liebman, 80, passed away on Nov 30, 2013 in the comfort of his home in Vero Beach, FL after a long struggle with Lewy Body Dementia. He was born in New York City and attended Stuyvesant High School and then Brooklyn College where he received his Bachelors’ and Masters’ degrees in Speech and Hearing Therapy. From 1956 – 1963, Jerry enjoyed a career as a speech and hearing therapist and as an assistant college professor. He then earned a Ph.D. in Audiology from Purdue University. He returned to teaching at SUNY Albany and was in private practice until 1992 when he retired to Naples, FL. In 2002, he relocated to Vero Beach. Jerry was an enthusiastic chess and bridge player and loved the challenge of the NY Times crossword puzzle. He enjoyed traveling throughout the USA and the world. He was on the board of trustees for Congregation Gates of Heaven in Schenectady, NY and was a past President of the Naples Jewish Center. He was a member of both Congregation Gates of Heaven and Temple Beth Shalom in Vero Beach. Dr. Liebman is survived by his loving and caring wife, Paulette, and his two children, Dr. Aaron Liebman (Ana) of Vero Beach and Miriam Finerman (Dr. Terry) of Rochester, MI. He was the proud grandfather of six grandchildren: Aliza Liebman Gellman-Chomsky (Benjamin), Kayla Liebman Bellin (Joshua), Alanna Liebman, Arianna Liebman, Avraham Finerman (Miriam), and Chana Finerman, and great-grandfather of Tziporah Leah Finerman. Arrangements are under the direction of the Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Schenectady. Michael J. Mulcahy, 64, died November 21, 2013 at Sebastian River Medical Center in Sebastian.  Mr. Mulcahy was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Micco, FL from West Palm Beach, FL sixteen years ago. He was a member of Masonic Temple Lodge No 232, Sebastian, Florida and a Shriner. Mr. Mulcahy attended the First Presbyterian Church of Sebastian, Sebastian, FL. He was survived by his son, Forrest Mulcahy of Montclair, New Jersey; brothers, Kenneth Mulcahy, William Mulcahy and Gerard Mulcahy; grandsons, Ian and Eliott; mother-in-law, Blanche Wood; caregiver, Guy Gillette and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Valerie and sister, Diane Raphael. Services: A Masonic Service will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, November 29, 2013 at Strunk Funeral Home, Sebastian, Florida. www.strunkfuneralhome. Seiler_picEdwin N. Seiler, 92, passed away December 2, 2013 at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach. Mr. Seiler was born in Mansfield, Ohio and lived in Vero Beach for 20 Years coming from Berkeley Heights, NJ. He was a graduate of Perdue University where he obtained a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and was a veteran of the Army Air Corps. Edwin retired from Lucent Technologies after 28 years with Bell Systems.  He was of the Methodist faith.  Mr. Seiler was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and the ASHRAE Society.  Survivors include his son, Edwin Seiler Jr. of Redmond, WA, daughter Harriet Seiler Braun of St. Cloud, MN, two grandchildren and one great granddaughter.He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Justin Seiler and William Seiler. Memorial contributions may be made in Edwin’s name to VNA Hospice 1110 35th Ln #1, Vero Beach, FL 32960. www.strunkfuneralhome.
