Navy SEAL Bridge Challenge results announced

Bridge Challenge 1B

Thirty competitors found out if they had what it takes as they competed in the inaugural Navy SEAL Museum “Bridge Challenge”.  The Challenge was held Saturday, November 30th on the Barber Bridge, with large crowds of on-lookers under the bridge and at the Riverside Café.  Although the day began with rain, nothing would stop these competitors.  Former Navy SEAL Rich Graham competed with his SEAL K-9 Miko, climbing 70 feet to the top of the bridge with his 40 pound dog tied to his back.

The two fastest competitors throughout the day raced again in a head to head battle in order to crown the champion of the bridge challenge.  In a close race, Evan Culpepper won the completion with a time of 13:22 while Justin Baker came in second with a time of 14:09 after receiving a penalty.  Elaine Ryan came in third with a time of 13:58.  These top three finishers will have their names inscribed on the Trident Cup Trophy for the next 12 months located at the Navy SEAL Museum.  All contestants received a Navy SEAL Museum T-shirt and challenge coin.
