Al Benkert, of the Oceanside Business Association said, “It was a fantastic parade and the judges (Benkert, Russ Lemmon of the Press Journal and Milt Thomas of Inside Vero) had a tough time making their decisions. There were so many great participants.”
The float winners were:
Most Holiday Spirit – Suncoast primary School
Most Humorous – Sebastian Eagle Riders
Best in Parade – Dubose and Sons Jewelers (their 30th year)
Benkert added, “Special thanks this year to: Karen Dodson – Parade Coordinator (Mrs. Claus tonight, who have been working on the parade since June), Georgia Irish Parade Chair Person and OBA president, Deborah Hoover – Coordinator at Riverside Park for the floats lining up, Todd Darress and The Treasure Coast Rotary, the OBA board of Directors and volunteers and the Rotary Club volunteers
