Sheriff’s Office Media Release
The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office is currently on scene at TD Bank, 1238 US Highway 1, Vero Beach, investigating a bank robbery. At approximately 3:35 P.M. on December 29, 2013, a white male believed to be in his 40’s, wearing a brown long sleeve collared shirt, a blue ball cap, and dark pants entered the bank and presented a note to the teller demanding money. Photographs of the suspected bank robber are attached.
The suspect fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office received notice of the robbery at 3:39 P.M. and were on scene at 3:41 P.M. Both helicopter and canines were deployed in an attempt to apprehend the suspect who fled north. Detectives believe the suspect entered a vehicle just north of the bank and left the area after committing the robbery.
