Richard Norman Beck, 87, died Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach. Dick was born in Swampscott, MA and he raised his family in Charlton, MA before moving to Vero Beach in 1987 with his late wife Gloria. Together they spent their summers vacationing in Maine and their winters in Vero Beach. Dick was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Navy aboard the USS McCord. He retired from MA Electric after 36 years of service. Dick was a member of First Church of God in Vero Beach and was an avid golfer and card player. Survivors include daughters Debra Ross and (Richard A. Ross) of Brookfield, MA and Sheryl St. Laurent (Gerard Dumont) of Webster, MA, six grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. Dick was preceded in death by his wife Gloria Beck and their son Richard Beck. Memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society Of Vero Beach, P.O. John Michael Buck, Sr., 65, of Vero Beach, Florida passed away Saturday, December 28, 2013 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach. John was born in Princeton, Indiana and moved to Vero Beach when he was 17. He was a graduate of Vero Beach High School, Class of 1967, and was an employee of the Airlite Processing before his retirement. John was an avid NASCAR fan and loved anything to do with racing. He enjoyed vintage movies, old cars and food. Survivors include his, son John Michael Buck, Jr. of Vero Beach, daughters Robin (Gary) Morgan of Vero Beach, Rhonda (Curt) Besancon of Vero Beach, Jamey (Eric) Urso of Vero Beach, Lori (Jason) Gilliand of Vero Beach and Jennifer Stokes of Ellijay, Georgia, sisters Hazel Mallory of Micco and Lucy (Larry) Hopkins of Cameron,Texas, brother Gerhardt (Kathy) Buck, Jr. of Vero Beach, fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Catherine C. Law, 81, of Spanish Lakes Country Club Village died peacefully December 29, 2013 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Fort Pierce, Florida. Cathy was born in Pequannock Township, New Jersey, grew up in Brooklyn (Flatbush), New York and moved to Spanish Lakes in 1984, from Jackson Heights, New York. She had worked for the New York Telephone Company prior to her retirement and was of the Catholic faith. Cathy chaired the Ceramics Club of the Spanish Lakes Country Club Village and was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America. She enjoyed crafts, gardening and cooking., and was known for her fine ceramic work and feisty personality. Survivors include her son Rodman (Joanne) J. Law of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and their children Andrew and Maggie Law, her son Scott (Isabel) T. Law of Valley Stream, New York and their children Natasha and Bryon Law, a sister Patricia Lupoli of California, and a brother John Carstons of Oakland, New Jersey. She was preceded in death by her husband Rodman F. Law.
