Umpire School returns to Historic Dodgertown

Dodgertown LogoVero Beach is once again the site of Minor League Baseball’s The Umpire School, an all-inclusive professional baseball umpire school. This marks the third consecutive year this event has returned to Vero Beach. The course began Sunday, January 5, and will conclude Sunday, February 2.

Professional Baseball Umpire Corp (PBUC) supervisors will instruct the attendees of the four-week course. PBUC oversees the training and employment of umpire in the Minor League Baseball system throughout the United States and Canada.

The Umpire School hosts 91 attendees, including one female student, from 30 states, as well as Australia, Canada, Dominican Republic, Japan, Puerto Rico and Venezuela.
