Anyone tempted to believe Charlie Wilson’s current claim that he never promised Vero Beach voters the sale of Vero Electric would net the City $150 million, with $90 million to invest after paying off debt, need only view his October 8, 2009 interview with Mary Beth McDonald. By continuing to deny that he and others, including Glenn Heran and Dr. Steven Faherty, grossly miscalculated the cost of selling the electric system, Wilson seems to have severed all ties with reality.

I wish you would give the guy a break. He only missed his forecast by $149,000,000. Nobody is perfect.
This is the “know it all” Charlie Wilson who was removed from office soon after being elected. For a “know it all” you would think he knew the residency requirments inorder to run and hold office. This is the same Charlie Wilson who in one sentence preaches civility and in the next sentence is uncivil. The same Charlie Wilson who is so redundant in all his “lectures” to the council that he sounds like a broken record. Looks like Wilson is in favor of reducing city workers (as is Pilar Turner) who maintain our quality of life in Vero. When any of the trio speak, i am reminded of a childhood jingle we sang. Three Blind Mice, Three Blind Mice, see how they run. Let’s see Wilson “baloney” his way out of his own words.
As “concerned for the facts” as she claims she is, I’m looking forward to “Rosemary Wilson” to explain THIS one away.
