KANTNERAl Roy Kantner, 78, of Vero Beach, FL passed away on Friday, January 24, 2014 at Sebastian River Medical Center. He was born in Peekskill, NY to Charles O. and Anna Mohr Kantner. Al moved to Vero Beach several years ago. He was a self- employed auto mechanic. He will be remembered for his love of restoring antique cars and for his love for dogs. He rescued many dogs and adopted them from the Humane Society. He was a member of Dogs for Life off-Leash Dog Park in Vero Beach. Al is survived by 3 daughters; Sherry Zellner, Linda (Jim) Ferrara and Sue (Tim) Woods. He is also survived by his companion, Gloria Willer, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Al was predeceased by his wife Barbara Marie Kantner in 2009. Valorie Kay Kauffman, 60, of Vero Beach, FL, widow of Ronald Kauffman, passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, January 22, 2014, at Consulate Health Care of Vero Beach.  Kay was born, February 18, 1952, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles James, and her brother, Steven James. Kay is survived by her mother, Joyce James; her son, Jeffrey Kauffman and his family; her daughter, Katina Kauffman and her family; her siblings Dale James, Teresa Reynolds, Denise Lauder and their families. Kay will be remembered for her passion and love of spending time at the beach with Ronnie, her husband of 42 years. Our family would like to thank the Staff at Consulate for the wonderful care they gave to her. http://www.lowtherfuneralhome.com/ (1/26/14)

Moxon,JohnJohn Sawyer Moxon, 75, died January 22, 2014 in Vero Beach, Florida. Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, he was the son of John William Moxon and Fredericka Rosamond Sawyer Moxon. He graduated from The Hill School and Dartmouth College, Class of 1961. He was a member of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity. Following graduation, he served in The United States Navy for six years with the final rank of lieutenant. For his service with Taiwan Defense Command he was awarded the Joint Service Commendation. Following naval service he worked for Morgan Guaranty Trust Company of New York, finally as a Vice President. He served as a trustee for Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart and the Washington Crossing Foundation. He also, as an elected Republican, sat on the Yardley Borough Council. In retirement he ran the family farm in Pennsylvania as a bed and breakfast and was an active member of Hammer and Tongs. He is survived by his daughter Rosamond (Roz) O’Connor, her husband John and children Jack, Lily, and Michaela of New York City and Sea Girt, New Jersey, his daughter Commander Elizabeth (Liz) Jensen USN, her husband Christian and daughter Dorothy of Norfolk, Virginia, his daughter Alma Eisenacher, her husband Mark and son Luke of Naples, Florida, and his son John Frederic Moxon of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He is also survived by his former wife and mother of his children, Elizabeth (Ping) Chiang of Tainan, Taiwan, his longtime companion, Jane Smith, and a sister, Dr. Fredericka Heller of Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. Charles Montague of Vero Beach, Florida passed away on January 10th, 2014. Charles was born in England on June 2, 1929 and moved to the United States in 1953. He was the Senior Vice President of the South Florida Division of People’s Gas System. He retired in December 1993. Charles was preceded in death by Margaret Newman Montague and Doreen Peters Montague. He is survived by his son, John Montague, his daughter-in-law Kathie Wright Montague, both of Jacksonville, Florida, granddaughters Jessica and Lindsay Montague both of Los Angeles, California, stepson Mark Peters of Viera, Florida and stepson, Jeffrey Peters of Cocoa Beach, Florida.
