Museum Gala Saturday, Feb. 1

MEDIA RELEASE
HAVANA NIGHTSOn Saturday, Feb. 1, the Vero Beach Museum of Art will present GALA 2014: Havana Nights, celebrating the extraordinary exhibition Cuban Art and Identity: 1900-1950.

Havana Nights will transport you in time to 1950’s Cuba where the nightlife was electric and the daiquiris were flowing.
The night will begin at 6 p.m. with cócteles y aperitivos in the Tropicana Night Club where the sounds of Latino music will move you through the room of energized guests. At 7 p.m., guests will indulge in flavorful cuisine under a spectacular dining room tent accompanied by sizzling music including Cuban favorites and familiar classics. After dinner, you can stay for the rhumba or cha cha cha, or join the conga line! You can also return to Tropicana Night Club for an after dinner cóctel or a café.

Havana Nights will be a celebration of art from a historic and enlightening period that was full of spice and energy. You will be transcended back to a fascinating era so rich in culture, flavor and colors. Cocktail attire is expected but gentlemen please feel free to don a guayabera shirt and ladies may wear an alluring rumbera skirt if they dare. It’s all in fun and will support the important outreach the Museum does for the children in our county.

Leadership tickets are currently on sale, beginning at $750 per person. To make a reservation or for more information, contact Jody Zwergel, Museum Events Manager, 772.231.0707 ext. 111, or email jodyz@verobeachmuseum.org.
