MEDIA RELEASE

On the evening of January 28, 2014, detectives with the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office Multi-Agency Criminal Enforcement (M.A.C.E.) Unit, including agents and detectives from the Sebastian Police Department, the Vero Beach Police Department, and the United States Postal Service, served two search warrants resulting in the seizure of more than fifteen pounds of high grade marijuana and more than $3,000.00 of drug money.

Search warrants were executed at 110 12th Street Southeast and 1590 20th Avenue Southwest, both in the unincorporated area of Indian River County. As a result of the search warrants, detectives arrested Michael Fedick on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of more than twenty grams of marijuana. Clifton Garrison was also arrested during this operation and charged with possession of less than twenty grams of marijuana.
Based on their investigation, detectives believe Fedick was receiving more than two hundred pounds of marijuana per month from California through the United States Postal Service. The marijuana was shipped with other items, including children’s books and crossword puzzles.
This month-long joint investigation continues with more arrests expected.
