STANLEY AYERS, 57, of Vero Beach, FL, died Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Indian River Medical Center.
He was born September 19, 1956 in Delaware and had been a resident of Vero Beach for 5 years, coming from Melbourne, FL.
Mr. Ayers worked 12 years for Publix supermarkets.
He was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Gayle Ayres; son, Jeff Ayres, US Army, of Melbourne, FL; step-sons, Jason Evers of Melbourne and Richard Evers, US Army, of Tennessee; sister, Denise Rankin of Maryland and step-granddaughter, Kaylie Evers.

MILTRED A. HEPBURN, 93, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away February 4, 2014 at Palm Garden Nursing Home.
Mildred was born May in Hyde, PA, daughter of Paul and Agnes Little. She moved to Indian River County in 1957 with her husband, son and daughter.
Mildred was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church for many years. She was a Past President of the Sebastian American Legion Auxiliary Unit #189. Her favorite past time was playing bingo.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Mann and husband Russell of Vero Beach; granddaughters Stepanie Roberts-Pedotti and Darla Hepburn; great grandson, Cooper Roberts; Sisters, Bernice Blake and Edith Goodyear. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Thomas Hepburn, son Thomas L. Hepburn, sister, Pauline Ball and brothers, Walter and Clair Little.
A private service will be held at a later date.

RAYMOND “RAY’ HILTON JR., 82, of Vero Beach, Florida died February 6, 2014 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Ray was born in Albany, New York and moved to Vero Beach in 1989 from Longmeadow, Massachusetts.
He attended Siena College in Loudenville, New York before joining the US Air Force during the Korean War.
Ray entered the insurance industry after the end of the Korean War. He worked for The Equitable Life Insurance Company and eventually worked for Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company before retiring.
Ray was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach and for many years served on the SOPA Board at Sea Oaks.
He was a member of the Sea Oaks Choir and an avid tennis player.
Survivors include wife of 59 years Patricia Hilton of Vero Beach, daughters Claire Marie Higgins of Vero Beach and Teresa Hilton of Vero Beach, sons Raymond Hilton of Fairfield, Connecticut and Geoffrey Hilton of Vero Beach, sister Joanne MCCarthy of Palm Bay and six granddaughters.

MARGARET ANN OESS, 62, of Vero Beach, FL, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, February 7, 2014, after a 6 and a half year courageous battle with cancer.
Margaret worked as a dental hygienist for many years. She is survived by her husband, Joseph “Joe” Oess; 2 daughters, Katie Oess and Carrie (Carlo) Marques; 1 son, Steve (Meg) Oess; her father, Richard Merk; 4 sisters, Kathy Yoko, Barb Otto, Linda Speckert and Julie Mavromatis; and 4 wonderful grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 13, 2014, from 5 PM to 7 PM at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home. A memorial Mass will be held on Friday, February 14, 2014 at 10 AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 500 Iris Ln, Vero Beach, FL.

JOYCE JEAN ROGERS TAYLOR, 73, native resident of Vero Beach, peacefully went to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at her home and surrounded by family.
She was born December 31, 1940 in Vero Beach, Florida.
She lived her entire life a Vero Beach resident and graduated from Vero Beach High School.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Joe and Nora Rogers, and her sister, Irene Shirley Rogers.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene Taylor, her four children, Patricia Taylor Tankersley (Terry), Joseph E. Taylor (Marie), William “Willie” P. Taylor (April) and Lenore Taylor Owle (Charlie), two brothers, William J. Rogers and Eugene H. Rogers, five grandchildren, Keith Tankersley (Kari), Kristy Tankersley, Lauren Taylor, Lindsay Taylor, Kolby Taylor, Erica Owle and one great grandchild, Emily Tankersley, all of Vero Beach. She is also survived by a special cousin, Mary Ann Driskell and nieces and nephews that were very close to their “Aunt Joyce”.
Joyce was employed by the Los Angeles Dodgers and Harrison Conference Center for almost 20 years. She was well loved and perfectly suited to a job that revolved around her favorite sport and favorite team. LOWTHER
Joyce will be remembered best for her love for family and her open door hospitality. She loved sports and was best remembered by the community as “Nana” and “Aunt Joyce”. She was an avid fan of her kids, grandkids, extended “kids”, Fighting Indians Football and Band and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
A memorial service will be held at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1280 27th Avenue, Vero Beach FL at 11:00 am Saturday, February 8, 2014. Friends may pay their respects to family Friday evening at Lowther Funeral Home, 1655 27th St, from 5-7 pm.
