RONALD FIRSDONOn Saturday, February 8, 2014, at approximately 9:30 P.M. the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office received a call from an astute citizen who heard noises coming from the exterior of her home. The homeowner reported to deputies that she heard a “click” sound coming from outside of her house. She activated an outside light and saw what she described as a tall, thin, white male wearing a black hat, dark clothing, and a dark colored backpack.
When deputies arrived on scene, the man had already fled, but they were right behind him. In the wooded area, deputies apprehended Ronald Firsdon (33), of Indian River County, who was also wanted on charges of burglary of a dwelling with assault or battery, third degree grand theft, criminal mischief, and several drug charges.
Firsdon was booked on his outstanding warrants and charges stemming from this incident. Firsdon is currently being held on more than $350,000.00 bond. Investigators are working to determine if any additional charges may be added as a result of the incident or any other outstanding burglaries.
