NEWS RELEASE

Detectives from the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office and Agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration have confirmed that the earlier reported incident is a confirmed methamphetamine lab.

Detectives and agents are currently on scene beginning the processing and cleanup operation necessary to decontaminate the area. As a precautionary measure, Indian River County Fire Rescue is also on scene.

Criminal charges are expected as a result of this investigation, with details to follow later.

This active investigation is expected to extend into the evening hours.
