Springtime, the time of year the weather changes to nice sun-filled breezy days; this time of year has always been the time of baseball, the National pastime, well not so much anymore. Traditional spring sports are beginning to take a back seat to an upcoming sport known as Lacrosse.
Greatly popular for years in the north eastern states and into Canada, lacrosse is steadily gain popularity with youth and high school athletes throughout the United States, and none more than right here in Vero Beach, home of the 8-times State Champion and highly National ranked Indian Varsity Girls team. Many boy athletes are now turning to lacrosse as their “offseason” sport after football and on the girl’s side; it’s becoming ever more common for soccer and basketball players to switch over to lacrosse in the spring.
